Amarnath Cave Yatra is treated as a life time opportunity and most auspicious for Hindu believers. These caves are situated in the state of Kashmir and approx. 110 kms away from the capital city of Srinagar. It is open for a limited period of time in a year and thousands queue up to visit this spiritual and divine cave.
Day 01 : Srinagar - Sonmarg
Arrive Srinagar Airport OR Railway station. Will meet you and will proceed to Sonamarg by road (80 kms / 2 ½ hrs). Check-in the pre-booked hotel. Day free for leisure. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at Sonmarg.
Day 2 : Sonamarg - Baltal - Amarnath Cave - Sonamarg by helicopter / horse
Breakfast at the hotel. This morning you will be transferred to Neelgrath in Baltal by car, where the helipad is located. You may also go by to the cave by horse / pony. Helicopters from Baltal operate between 6:00 Am to 5:00 PM on all days. The helicopter will drop you at Panjtarni which is 6 kms away from the Amarnath Holy Cave. From there you can go on foot (2 hrs walk), else hire a pony and palki at your own cost. Visit to the cave is a wonderful experience of serenity and spirituality. Spend the time for darshan of the huge shiv lingam which forms naturally from snow every year. Besides the massive Shiv lingam, two smaller ice lingams are believed to represent Ma Parvati Devi and Lord Ganesha. Unveil the mysteries associated with the holy cave and if you get lucky enough, you may get to eyewitness a couple of the immortal pigeon. After Darshan of holy cave, come back to Panjtarni to take the ride back to Neelgrath Helipad in Baltal. You may also take pony / palki to Sonamarg. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay is planned at the hotel in Sonmarg.
Day 3 : Departure Sonmarg to Srinagar Airport-
Breakfast at the hotel. You will be assisted in a smooth transfer to the Srinagar Airport to board a flight for your onward journey.
