Ladakh Expedition With Nubra & Pangong

Day 01 : Arrival in Leh
On arrival at Leh airport meet our representative who will transfer you to your hotel in Leh. Upon arrival, proceed for check-in at your hotel. Remainder of the day will be for rest, to acclimatize. In the late afternoon around 4 PM, drive to visit Shanti Stupa (Buddhist white-domed stupa (chorten) on a hilltop in Chanspa) followed by a visit to Leh Palace (Former royal palace overlooking the town of Leh). Dinner & overnight stay at Hotel.
Note : Since you are reaching an altitude of 4000 meters approximately from 200 mtrs in just one hour’s time, you may be excited and would want to explore everything on your very first day. However, it is your body which needs to get acclimatized to such height and climate. We sincerely suggest that you rest on the first day for body acclimatization.

Day 02 : Visit Sangam (Confluence of Zanskar and Indus River), Gurudwara Pathhar Sahib, Magnetic hill, Hall of Fame, Spituk Monastery, Leh Market

In the morning, after breakfast, drive to Sangam (Confluence of Zanskar and Indus River). En-route visit Magnetic Hill (gravity hill, a type of optical illusion created by rising and descending terrain) and Gurudwara Patthar Sahib (constructed in the memory of Guru Nanak). On your way back, visit Ladakh Hall of fame (Run by the Indian Army, this museum/war memorial houses weapons, history exhibits & a souvenir shop) followed by a visit to Spituk Monastery (also known as Spituk Gompa or Pethup Gompa). In the evening visit Leh Market, here you can find almost everything including Himalayan Pashmina Shawls/Apricot Store/Tibetan Handicrafts/Ladakhi Ornaments/Rugs, Kashmiri Carpets and etc.
Later come back to the hotel and spent the evening at leisure. Dinner & overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 03 : Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass (135Km / 5 Hours approx)

Today after breakfast, proceed to Nubra Valley (Hunder) via the World’s Highest Motorable road (5602 Mts) Khardungla pass. Khardung la Pass (18,380ft above sea level): It is not very often that one gets to drive on a road at an altitude of 18,380 feet. That is where Khardungla Pass, meaning the ‘Pass of Lower Castle,’ is located on the way from Leh to the Nubra Valley in Ladakh. It is the highest motorable road in the world as signs put up by the Border Roads Organization proudly proclaim.
On arrival at Nubra Valley (Hunder), check in at a comfortable camp/cottage and relax. After relaxing for a while, proceed for a visit to the White Sand Dunes at Hunder. You can also enjoy a camel ride here (Camel ride on direct payment basis).
Nubra Valley: Popularly called the orchard of Ladakh, Nubra valley offers a graceful view of yellow and pink wild roses in summer and a carpet of wild lavender in the post-monsoon season. You will definitely be overwhelmed to see the Bactrian Camels (Shaggy double hump Camel) around sand dunes.
Thereafter come back to camp/cottage. Spend evening at leisure. Dinner & overnight stay at the camp.

Day 04 : Nubra Valley (Hunder) to Pangong via Shayok (150 Kms approx) | Pangong to Leh via Changla Pass (155 Kms approx)

Morning after Breakfast, check out and visit Diskit Monastery. Post this, proceed for the journey to Pangong via Shayok. Diskit Monastery: Diskit Monastery also known as Deskit Gompa or Diskit Gompa is the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery in the Nubra Valley of Ladakh. It belongs to the Gelugpa sect of Tibetan Buddhism. It was founded by Changzem Tserab Zangpo, a disciple of Tsong Khapa, founder of Gelugpa, in the 14th century. On arrival explore the Pangong Lake, spend some quality time at Lake and take some of the best pictures.
Thereafter, proceed for your journey back to Leh via Changla pass. Upon your arrival in Leh, check in to the hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 05 : Departure
Leave on time for Leh airport to board your flight to onward journey.
