Day 01: Bangalore
On arrival at Bengaluru International Airport, our representative will meet and will transfer to the pre-booked accommodation (hotel check in 12:00 hrs noon, early check in subject to availability). In the afternoon visit the lush green Cubbon Park, the Lal Bagh botanical gardens, the 2nd century Ulsoor lake, a perfect place for rowing around in a boat or to sprawl on the green grass that surrounds the lake, ISKON Temple. Evening drive past the Vidhana Soudha that houses the state Legislature. Finally free for shopping at Commercial Street. Night at the hotel.
Day 02 : Bangalore - Mysore
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning visit the majestic Bangalore Palace, Tipu Sultan’s summer palace and the Bull Temple. Later proceed to Mysore (140 kms / 3 hrs) popularly known as the city of Palaces. On the way stop at Srirangapatana, the historical capital of Hyder Ali and his son Tippu Sultan. You may also visit Sri Ranganatha Temple, Daria Doulat - Tippu Sultan's Summer Palace and Gumbuz - Tippu's Mausoleum. On arrival at Mysore check in to the hotel. Evening, proceed to the majestic Krishnaraja Sagar Dam and enjoy the famous Brindavan Gardens. The sound and light show performed here gets transformed into a heaven by night with swirling waters, colorful lights and melodious music. Overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 03 : Mysore
After breakfast, leave out to see the places in Mysore. Visit the ornately crafted Maharaja's Palace with its wonderful treasures and ivory inlaid doors. Visit St. Philomena's Church, an attractive Cathedral reminiscent of Medieval Architecture with stained glass Windows and lofty Towers. Mysore Zoo has a good collection of animals and is one of the oldest zoos with rare species. Proceed to Chamundi Hills, an abode of Goddess Chamundeshwari. From the premises you can see the entire city. Visit the huge Nandi Bull statue. Night at the hotel.
Day 04 : Mysore- Ooty
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning proceed to Ooty (140 kms / 3 hrs), one another hill station. Visit the Bandipur Wildlife Sanctuary and then the Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary along with Kalhatty Waterfalls. On arrival check into the hotel. Evening visit the beautiful Ooty Lake and enjoy boat ride. Night at the hotel.
Day 05 : Ooty
Breakfast at the hotel. The major attractions of Ooty include Botanical Gardens, a paradise for flower lovers and botanical students. Then proceed towards the Nilgiri Hill and visit the see the Dodabetta Peak which is situated at an altitude of 2623 meters above sea level. Return to the hotel and overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 06: Ooty – Coonoor - Trichur
After breakfast, proceed to Trichur (250 kms / 6 hrs). On the way visit Coonoor which is famous for its tea plantations. Visit the Pasteur Institute established in 1907. Proceed to Sim's Park which provides an extraordinary attraction to the park. Here individual tree specimens are planted all over the place. Continue to Lamb's Rock and Dolphin's Nose. From here you can view Coimbatore Plains. Laws Falls, 180 feet height water falls on Coonoor-Mettupalayam road is an amazing picnic spot and a heaven for Nature lovers. On arrival at Trichur, check into the hotel.
Day 07 : Trichur – Aathirappilly – Vazhachal - Munnar
Trichur has a good zoo and “Shaktan Tamburan Palace.” There are two iconic temples, “Vadakkunnath temple” and “Paramekkave Bhavati temple” (Non Hindus are not allowed inside the centre sanctum). Proceed to Munnar (170 kms / 5 hrs). On the way stop at the beautiful water falls of Aathirappilly and Vazhachal. If you are lucky you can spot wild elephants here. Munnar is famous for Cardamom, Coffee and Tea plantations. You may also enjoy beautiful streams, small and big waterfalls, Rubber-Pepper-Cardamom-Tea plantations and thick forests. On the way visit Cheyyappara Water Falls, Blossom Park and Pothemedu view point. Munnar is a nature lover's paradise with endless tea gardens and lakes on western ghat hills, basically it is a tea town. Night at Munnar hotel
Day 08 : Munnar
After breakfast, proceed to Eravikulam National Park, one of the best protected parks in the country (The Park will remain closed from 1st Feb to 30th Apr every year due to breeding of Neelgiri Thars). Proceed to visit Echo point and Mattupetty Dam, Anamudi etc. Speed boating facilities are available here. Those interested can go for an elephant ride or Jeep ride in Munnar. In the evening you may watch Kathkalai dance performance and “kalaripayattu,” a traditional war demo with sword and knife. Night at hotel.
Day 09 : Munnar – Alleppey
Breakfast at hotel. Proceed to Alleppey (135 kms / 4 hrs drive). On the way you may stop for visiting a spices garden. On arrival at Alleppey, board houseboat from the Jetty by 12:00 hrs. Lunch will be provided on board. This moving vessel will take you through the narrow canals of Vembanadu Lake. You will have a spectacular view of the backwaters and can watch daily activities of local people on shore. Embrace the cool breeze from the backwaters. Night stay at the Houseboat.
Day 10 : Alleppey - Cochin / Departure
Breakfast on board. Check out from the boat by 09:00 hrs. Proceed for a full day tour of Cochin visiting Fort Cochin, St. Francis Church, Jewish Synagogue, Mattancherry Palace etc. Evening is free to move around the Marine drive. Else go to Lulu shopping Mall. Evening catch flight for onward destination.
